THE CONDUIT CHAIR

The Conduit Chair is part of the Conduit Series, constructed from aluminium off-cuts from the production of street lighting poles.

The tubes used for the chair originate directly from the off-cuts of the poles themselves. Components that would normally function as structural carriers within a larger system are repositioned here as the primary structure.

Their dimensions and curvature are not altered, but instead determine both form and proportion. The design emerges from the material’s existing logic, rather than being imposed onto it.

All elements are powder-coated, giving the material a new, restrained surface while maintaining a clear connection to its industrial origin.

Rather than transforming the material beyond recognition, the chair builds on what is already there, allowing the material to speak in its own language.
